Elegant Georgian circa 1800 roll top desk. This antique desk features a beautiful curved roll top that smoothly retracts to reveal a writing surface covered in green baize. Inside, are pigeon holes and small drawers for storage. Below the roll top are two faux drawers over three working drawers, all with black wooden pulls. The desk stands on slender, tapered legs fitted with castors, typical of the period. The wood has a rich, warm brown patina. This piece is a true statement of Georgian craftsmanship, perfect for a study or living area. In very good condition for its age, with some signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
